Do you like pie?

I’m about to make a pair of pumpkin pies. First, pour myself a glass of wine. I chose a pinot noir to pair with me, sitting around thinking about making a pie. Actually I’m on my second, no third glass. This wine has been exquisite, considering it was just $5.99 at Good Earth Market, our local co-op. My critics have a list of chores for me this evening. Things like “make popcorn” and “play Donald Duck on the computer.” The one critic is Jackson Bruner, age four. He did a good job of eating his supper: his favorite these days, beans and rice. I think some cheese helped the palate.
I have to sign off. Pies beckon. Jackson beckons. My dear spouse treads on my feet. I’ve gotta go.
